Everyone has a story.

One of our favorite questions to ask when getting to know another couple is, “So how did you meet?” I always watch my husband’s eyes when the question is asked, they twinkle with anticipation. We love hearing the stories, the humor and plot twists that form each unique plotline. But when the story ends, and the question is volleyed back, I settle in for a rendition of my favorite of all the stories.

I’ve spent years hearing his version of events, while contemplating the deeper twists and turns that get brushed over for the sake of time and respect. I love the way he describes our first kiss, or how I could barely catch my breath hiking with a nasty cold so he could propose to me as the sun rose.

But there’s so much more to tell. I’ve dreamt of writing a book, because, although I’m biased, I feel our story is book worthy. Maybe someday I will. For now, I’ll share snippets that warm my heart, or bring a pang, or just contribute to the story in seemingly insignificant but life-altering ways.

So here is my collection. Perhaps I’ll compile our whole story, complete with all of its heartaches, triumphs and regrets. Or perhaps I’ll leave it a collection of snippets. I’m excited to find out along with you all. Thanks for being here
